Stark has unveiled the VARG SM SKÖLL, a limited-production version of its electric supermoto. Production will be restricted to just 500 motorcycles worldwide, with Stark confirming that there will be no second production run, making the SKÖLL an especially exclusive version of the VARG SM.
The motorcycle produces 80bhp and weighs around 123kg, while combining that performance with long-travel, competition-derived suspension. Its unusual name comes from Norse mythology, where SKÖLL is the wolf that pursues the sun. Stark has carried that theme into the motorcycle’s appearance, with almost every component that can reasonably be finished in black receiving a dark treatment. This includes the triple clamps, steering hardware, swingarm, motor casing, inverter housing, charging-port cover and switchgear.

The SKÖLL comes with the full 80bhp Alpha performance specification, along with Stark’s Dynamic Traction Control system. Rather than relying on a small selection of fixed riding modes, the system allows riders to create a ten-point curve for power delivery, regenerative braking and traction-control intervention, giving the VARG a high degree of adjustability.
Underneath that setup is a compact electric powertrain. The carbon-fibre-sleeved motor operates at a nominal 360V and produces a claimed 275Nm at the countershaft. Once gearing is taken into account, Stark quotes an extraordinary 978Nm at the rear wheel. The motor itself weighs just 9kg and is claimed to achieve more than 95 per cent efficiency through much of its operating range.
Power comes from a 7.2kWh battery housed within Stark’s magnesium case. The battery is positioned as a key part of the motorcycle’s tightly centralised layout, while claimed riding time can reach up to six hours depending on terrain, riding pace and the rider’s ability.

Charging is handled by a portable 3.3kW charger weighing 2.2kg. Using a 220V, 16A supply, Stark says the battery can be charged from empty to 80 per cent in around 82 minutes, while a full charge takes less than two hours.
The VARG SM’s frame architecture is derived from the road-legal VARG EX enduro motorcycle, but Stark has retuned the geometry and suspension specifically for supermoto use. The aim is to maintain compliance over bumps and imperfect surfaces while providing the front tyre with the precision required during hard braking and at high lean angles.
At the front, the motorcycle uses KYB 48mm closed-cartridge forks with 290mm of travel, while the rear shock offers an enormous 303mm of travel. Both ends are highly adjustable. The seat stands at approximately 935mm, while ground clearance is around 312mm.

The SKÖLL also incorporates navigation and trail functions through Stark’s Arkenstone interface. The system supports turn-by-turn guidance, offline maps and GPX files, while riders can also record routes and lap times. The VARG SM SKÖLL arrives in a market where electric two-wheelers remain heavily concentrated around scooters and practical commuter motorcycles. More performance-focused and off-road-oriented electric motorcycles remain relatively uncommon.
