Following its maiden MX2 World Championship victory, Triumph has updated the TF 250-X for the 2027 model year, with revisions made to both the engine and suspension.
The 249cc single-cylinder engine retains its existing specification, but Triumph has revised its calibration to improve throttle response, rideability and torque delivery. The powerplant continues to produce a claimed 47.4bhp, while torque stands at 21.1lb-ft, or approximately 28.6Nm.
The engine update also includes new valve guides, revised clutch components and refined gearchange hardware. These changes are intended to improve the overall response and usability of the motocross machine without altering its basic engine configuration.
Triumph has also revised the KYB suspension package that helped Guillem Farres and the TF 250-X secure the 2026 MX2 title. The updated front and rear settings are designed to improve balance, damping control and rider feedback.
Adding to the suspension changes are new tool-less adjusters, allowing riders to make setup changes quickly at the track. The front continues to use 48mm KYB coil-spring forks with compression and rebound adjustment, along with 310mm of wheel travel.
At the rear, the KYB setup provides 305mm of travel and offers high- and low-speed compression adjustment alongside rebound adjustment. The revised settings are intended to give riders greater control over the bike’s behaviour across different track conditions. The 2027 TF 250-X also receives updated Neken triple clamps and a revised chain guide. Completing the changes is new all-black bodywork with updated graphics and redesigned fork guards
