Ducati has updated the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak for 2027 with a new livery inspired by the company’s MotoGP and World Superbike racing machines. The 167bhp adventure motorcycle now gets a paint scheme influenced by the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R used by Ducati’s factory racing teams.
Created by Ducati Centro Stile in collaboration with Drudi Performance, the new design is intended to highlight the sporting character of the Pikes Peak. The motorcycle itself is Ducati’s sportier interpretation of the Multistrada formula, with several changes aimed at improving its performance on the road.
Unlike the standard Multistrada V4, the Pikes Peak uses a 17-inch front wheel, a single-sided swingarm, forged aluminium wheels, Öhlins semi-active suspension and a more committed riding position. The only more performance-focused Multistrada is the Multistrada V4 RS, which uses the Panigale V4-derived engine.
For 2027, the Pikes Peak continues with Ducati’s 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine, producing 167bhp at 10,750rpm and 123.8Nm at 9,000rpm. The engine also retains its counter-rotating crankshaft, a technology derived from Ducati’s MotoGP programme.
The motorcycle rides on five-spoke forged aluminium wheels fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres, measuring 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/55 ZR17 at the rear. Suspension is provided by Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active units, offering 170mm of travel at both ends. There are no major hardware changes to the suspension compared with the previous model.
The Pikes Peak also continues to use carbon-fibre components, including the front mudguard and beak. A road-legal titanium Akrapovič silencer adds another racing-inspired touch, while other model-specific details include gold-anodised Öhlins fork sliders, a smoked screen, a V4-branded seat and Ducati Corse badging on the beak. Its riding position further separates the Pikes Peak from the standard Multistrada V4. The footpegs are positioned higher and further back to provide greater cornering clearance and allow the rider to move around the motorcycle more easily. The handlebars are also lower, narrower and flatter.

Ducati has also given the Pikes Peak a dedicated Race Riding Mode. It uses a different rev-limiter strategy intended to make high-rpm gear changes easier, while the quickshifter receives a revised calibration with more aggressive downshifts. The High Power Mode has also been tuned for sharper throttle response.
The Öhlins semi-active suspension uses Ducati’s event-based control system, which changes its behaviour according to what the motorcycle is doing rather than simply responding to basic suspension inputs. Braking is handled by Ducati’s Electronic Combined Braking System, which can add rear brake pressure when the rider applies the front brake.
The extensive electronics package includes Bosch IMU-assisted cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control and Vehicle Hold Control. The motorcycle also has five riding modes: Race, Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet.
Radar technology is fitted at both ends as standard, bringing Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection to the Pikes Peak, along with Forward Collision Warning. This combines the motorcycle’s sporting focus with the electronic assistance expected from a modern long-distance adventure model. Beyond the new livery, Ducati is also offering buyers additional ways to personalise the 2027 Pikes Peak through its Factory Made programme. Options include red forged wheels with matching red or black brake callipers, along with different seat heights and additional carbon-fibre components.
Customers can also specify auxiliary lights and a complete luggage setup consisting of panniers and a top box. As a result, the Pikes Peak can be configured towards either a sharper sports-oriented appearance or a more practical long-distance setup.
