Honda has unveiled a sleek and brightly finished concept at Milan Fashion Week, and the motorcycle could offer an early glimpse at what could be a new CBR.
While Honda has not confirmed the model’s identity, the motorcycle appears to share several design and mechanical details with the CB750 Hornet platform. This has led to speculation that the bike could eventually become a new CBR750R.
One of the strongest clues is the frame. The CB750 Hornet uses a steel diamond frame with distinctive details around the point where the one-piece subframe joins the main frame. The motorcycle shown at Milan Fashion Week appears to use a very similar structure, including the positioning of the footpeg mounts and the frame’s proximity to the clutch cover.
The similarities become more apparent when viewing the motorcycle from a front three-quarter angle. Through the large opening behind the front wheel, two exhaust downpipes can be seen running back towards the engine.
There is still some uncertainty over which engine Honda is using. The two downpipes could indicate the same powerplant found in the CBR500R, but when combined with the apparent similarities in the frame and subframe, the evidence points towards Honda potentially using the Milan event to preview an upcoming production model.

With EICMA only a couple of months away, the motorcycle could make another appearance in Milan, potentially with more details about its final specification and positioning. For now, however, Honda has not revealed what engine tune or equipment package the production version would use.
If the motorcycle does eventually become a CBR750R, it could give Honda a new entry in the middleweight sports bike segment alongside models such as the Yamaha R9 and Ducati Panigale V2, potentially arriving for 2027 or later.
