Ducati is expected to add a new Streetfighter V4 SP to its line-up for 2027, with confirmation of the model emerging from California Air Resources Board (CARB) documents. The new naked bike is expected to arrive alongside the updated Panigale V4 SP.
The latest paperwork comes just over a month after CARB certification revealed the existence of a new Panigale V4 SP, suggesting Ducati is preparing a new generation of its Sport Production models.
A Streetfighter V4 SP would add another performance-focused model to Ducati’s naked range, which already includes two V2 variants alongside the standard V4, V4 S, V4 S 100, V4 S Corse and the highly limited V4 Supreme. The new SP models could make their global debut at EICMA in Milan this November, which would provide Ducati with an opportunity to reveal both the Streetfighter V4 SP and Panigale V4 SP at the same event.
According to the CARB documents, the Streetfighter V4 SP will use the same engine as the existing V4 models. That suggests power could be in the region of 211bhp, with around 120Nm of torque, matching the figures of the V4 S and V4 S Corse.
The Streetfighter V4 SP name was first introduced in 2022 as a more track-focused version of the standard Streetfighter V4. While it used the same basic engine as the standard model at the time, the SP received several upgrades aimed at improving its circuit performance.
Among the changes were a dry clutch and carbon-fibre wheels, replacing the standard model’s aluminium wheels. The SP also received suspension tuning derived from the Panigale, along with a brushed aluminium fuel tank, machined aluminium rearsets and Brembo Stylema R brake calipers. Those changes came before the standard Streetfighter V4 was updated in 2023, followed by the introduction of the SP2. The latter also featured a special ‘Winter Test’ livery inspired by the colours used by Ducati’s MotoGP and WorldSBK teams during pre-season testing.
