Triumph to unveil two new Street Triple 765 limited-editions?

  • Likely to be the RX and Moto2 editions
  • Expected launch in next couple of months
  • Could come with updated performance package

The Triumph Street Triple 765 line-up could soon expand with the arrival of a new RX version and a Moto2 edition, both expected to be produced in limited numbers. The development comes via Motorcycle.com, citing paperwork filed with the California Air Resources Board that points to two upcoming models.

If the RX does materialise, more details could be unveiled at EICMA this November. The model is tipped to borrow cues from the larger Speed Triple, which features an Akrapovič silencer and Öhlins electronic suspension. Whether the Street Triple 765 RX will share the same hardware remains to be confirmed, though some crossover seems likely.

Production is also expected to be capped. With the Speed Triple RR limited to 1,200 units on release, the Street Triple RX could see a similarly exclusive run, possibly 765 units worldwide, in line with its name.

The Moto2 edition, meanwhile, is expected to sit at the top of the range as the highest-spec Street Triple 765 to date, continuing Triumph’s connection with the Moto2 world championship.
