- 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure is here
- Gets new KTM AMT and 1350cc V-twin
- NZ launch likely in 2025
KTM has pulled the covers off the new 1390 Super Adventure S EVO- now its flagship adventure-touring motorcycle that will go up against the BMW R1300 GS, Triumph Tiger 1200 and the Ducati Multistrada V4. To give it a significant advantage, the S EVO brings in a shipload of electronic wizardry.
Let’s begin with the new powerhouse- the 1350cc, V-twin mill that churns out 170bhp and 145Nm. Other than the engine, which also powers the manical Super Duke R, the 1390 Super Adventure S EVO also debuts KTM’s newest tech- the AMT. Just like the other AMTs, it removes the need to manually pull in the clutch lever and shift gears with your foot and instead, replaces it with a see-saw shifter on the new switchgear. In addition to this, it also debuts the new touchscreen display from the Austrian brand called the V80.
Then, there is an exhaustive suite of electronics- four ride modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Offroad and Custom), traction control, cornering ABS, customizable ABS modes, a TPMS, radar system, cruise control, keyless ignition and smartphone connectivity. Phew! That’s not all with the new KTM 1390 Super Adventure S EVO. It also boasts of a semi-active suspension system with a WP setup on both ends. Well, the motorcycle is also offered in a manual version if you don’t prefer the AMT. KTM is offering the motorcycle in two colours- white with black and the traditional orange with black.
With it being displayed at the upcoming EICMA 2024 in Italy, the motorcycle is likely to make its way to our shores sometime in 2025 to stir up the competition.
