Ducati to introduce limited-edition models with 2026 MotoGP and WSBK livery

  • Likely to use the ‘Ducati Centro Stile’ paintjob
  • Could be introduced on the Panigale V4 and V2 series
  • It is likely to be unveiled soon

Ducati is preparing a series of limited-edition production motorcycles that will adopt a paint scheme closely aligned with the factory liveries used in MotoGP and WorldSBK for the 2026 season.

The updated race colours were unveiled recently at Ducati’s MotoGP and WorldSBK team launches, marking a visual shift for the brand in its centenary year. The new livery features a darker shade of red than previous seasons, paired with contrasting white stripes. Ducati says the design draws inspiration from historic racing machines of the 1960s, while still presenting a modern, contemporary finish.

Speaking at the Aruba.it Racing Ducati WorldSBK team presentation,CEO Claudio Domenicali confirmed that the colour scheme has been developed in-house by Ducati Centro Stile specifically to commemorate the company’s 100th anniversary. He described the red as deliberately darker and finished in matte, referencing early Ducati race bikes while introducing a more modern texture and appearance.

Domenicali also confirmed that the new colourway will not be limited to the race bikes alone. Instead, it will feature on a selection of upcoming limited-edition production models, which he described as “very new” and “very sophisticated”. While it has not yet been confirmed which motorcycles will receive the treatment, the statement signals a direct visual link between the brand’s factory racing programme and its premium road-going models.

It is widely expected that special editions of the Panigale V4 R and Panigale V2 will be among the models to receive the race-inspired paint, given their close connection to the brand’s competition efforts. Beyond those, the scope remains unclear, though models such as the Multistrada V4 RS or a special-edition Monster would align with Ducati’s strategy of highlighting key nameplates from its history.

Further details on the limited-edition models, including specifications, production numbers and availability, are expected to be announced closer to their official release.
