New KTM 1390 Super Duke GT launch pushed to 2027

  • Select models production commenced
  • Super Duke GT to arrive in 2027
  • KTM offering four-year warranty

KTM have confirmed production start dates for their delayed larger-capacity models, first revealed at the end of 2024. Assembly is set to begin later this year, though the 1390 Super Duke GT has now been pushed back to 2027.

Production resumed at KTM’s Mattighofen, Austria, facility in April, following a 90-day ‘self-administration’ period triggered by financial difficulties late last year, just weeks after many of the new models had been unveiled.

Despite these setbacks, the 990RCR sportsbike is now scheduled to enter production in October 2025, with the larger 1390 Super Adventure S, S Evo, and Adventure R models also taking shape around the same time. Meanwhile, the 990 Duke R, first shown in October 2024, will begin production in November, with the first units expected to arrive by late 2025 and early 2026.

In addition, smaller single-cylinder models are starting to reach various global markets. The 390 Enduro R, for example, is being built by KTM’s partner Bajaj Auto in India. However, fans of the 1390 Super Duke GT will have to wait until 2027 for its launch. To reassure customers, KTM are now offering a complimentary four-year warranty on all 2023–2026 LC8 V-twin and LC8c parallel-twin street and adventure models sold in overseas markets.
