- 2025 Suzuki V-Strom 800 range unveiled
- Gets new colour schemes
- Could be launched in AUS and NZ soon
Suzuki has refreshed its V-Strom 800 range for 2025 with a selection of striking new colour schemes. The update applies to the V-Strom 800DE and 800RQ, along with their respective Tour variants. The larger V-Strom 1050 models and the V-Strom 650 remain unchanged.

The off-road-ready V-Strom 800DE, which stands out with its 21-inch front wheel, fully adjustable Showa suspension offering 220mm of travel, and generous 220mm of ground clearance, now sports a fresh white and blue livery complete with matching blue spoked wheels. A second colour option, featuring gloss black bodywork accented with grey and red decals, adds a stealthy touch with black rims. Suzuki has also subtly updated the iconic yellow version by swapping in blue rims for added contrast. The motorcycle is now available for sale in New Zealand.
Meanwhile, the more road-focused V-Strom 800RQ is yet to get an update in our country. The 2025 is available in three all-new finishes: a vibrant red paired with black seat trim, a sleek metallic matte black with yellow highlights, and a versatile metallic grey. These changes also extend to the Tour editions of both models, which come equipped with a rugged 112-litre aluminium luggage system as standard.

Powering the V-Strom 800DE and 800RE is a 776cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 83bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm of torque at 6,800rpm. The engine employs a 270-degree crank for a punchy, V-twin-like character and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a standard bi-directional quickshifter. Tech-wise, the 800 range is equipped with a five-inch TFT display, ride-by-wire throttle, three riding modes, three level traction control and an off-road specific setting for the DE. That said, the DE also comes with switchable rear ABS for better off-road performance.
This colour refresh follows similar updates rolled out across Suzuki’s flagship Hayabusa and Katana, as well as the GSX-8S and GSX-S1000GT, marking an energetic start to the year for the Japanese brand.
