Suzuki GSX-R range likely to make a comeback

  • GSX-R600, GSX-R750 and GSX-R1000 to make a comeback
  • Could be shown at the 2025 EICMA
  • No word about technical details yet

Suzuki is reportedly working on bringing back the bigger GSX-R range for global markets. The range, now discontinued in many markets included the GSX-R600, GSX-R750 and GSX-R1000.

The news came out after the president of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Toshihiro Suzuki addressed the development. That said, Suzuki’s current GSX-R range includes the GSX-R125 and GSX-8R. However, the 8R leans more toward practicality and could be considered more touring-focused than the track-focused GSX-R models.

Well, the reason the GSX-R sportbikes were taken off the shelves was the latest emission norms in Europe and other countries. Moreover, having the bikes comply with the norms while retaining the performance could prove expensive and less profitable overall.

And while the company might be developing the new-gen GSX-Rs, it is not looking to participate in the MotoGP or World Superbike Championship. Toshihiro Suzuki also mentioned that the bikes would be showcased at the 2025 EICMA so we wouldn’t have to wait long before we see them!
