Japanese helmet manufacturer Shoei have released an upgrade to their venerable GT-Air, aptly titled the GT-Air II. The original set the bar in 2013, now five years later the GT-Air II looks to raise the stakes in touring protection.

Arriving in seven different solid colors and nine graphic versions, the new helmet is wind tunnel tested for less turbulence around the aggressive and compact shell sizes, of which there are three covering the XS to XXL size charts. A new ventilation system with two inlets and four outlets provides exceptional airflow in warmer climates. The flip-down tinted sun-visor has been lengthened by 5mm for better coverage, and the external 3D-molded visor has been optimised for wider vision and optimum sealing. The retention system is a stainless steel micro ratchet for ease of use. The internal liner is fully removable and washable to ensure maximum rider comfort.

The GT-Air II also comes prepared for the SENA SRL2 (Shoei Rider Link2) intercom system, which can be perfectly integrated into the helmet shell with no protruding operating unit.
