Moto Morini, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer owned by the Zhongneng Vehicle Group (ZNEN), has updated the popular XCape – its adventure offering for 2025.
The motorcycle now comes with a bigger engine and more features than before along with cosmetic upgrades. For starters, the engine is now bumped up to 693cc from 649cc. Moto Morini has increased the stroke from 60mm to 64mm while the bore remains the same at 83mm. This has resulted in a 10bhp increase in power and is now rated at 69bhp at 8500rpm.

As for features, the Moto Morini XCape comes with full-colour TFT screen, switchable ABS, two charging sockets, hand guards and tubeless tyres. Braking equipment is sourced from Brembo and suspension comes from Marzochhi. It gets 175mm of travel upfront and is adjustable for preload, rebound and compression while the rear KYB offers 165mm of travel. It is good for preload and rebound adjustments.
The brand will be offering two variants- one with spoke wheels and one with alloy wheels. Both gets Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres and are wrapped in a 19/17-inch wheel combo.
Moto Morini currently has a runout offer on the current X-Cape 650 models in NZ, priced at just $11,490+ORC at Moto Morini dealers nationwide and comes with FREE luggage and crash protection. However, if the importer does not have plans to bring the bigger capacity version in as the current bike hits the sweet spot in the LAMS segment which wouldn’t with a bump to 693cc.
