Benelli has brought the TRK 902 Xplorer to production as the more adventure-focused member of the TRK 902 family. With its combination of off-road hardware, touring equipment and rider assistance systems, the Xplorer could become the flagship of Benelli’s adventure range globally.
At the heart of the motorcycle is a 904cc parallel-twin engine producing around 93bhp at 9,000rpm and 90Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is designed to offer a balance between performance and usability, providing enough power for highway touring and carrying a passenger with luggage without an overly aggressive power delivery. A ride-by-wire throttle also brings three riding modes, allowing the engine response to be adjusted according to the rider’s preference and conditions.

The adventure focus becomes more apparent with the chassis setup. The TRK 902 Xplorer uses 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless wire-spoke wheels, wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR M+S tyres. Suspension is handled by Marzocchi units at both ends, with 170mm of travel front and rear. Ground clearance stands at 215mm, while the seat height is 840mm.
The motorcycle also comes with an extensive electronics package. A quickshifter, cruise control and tyre-pressure monitoring system are included, while the rider gets a large seven-inch TFT display with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Smartphone-based navigation is also supported through Benelli’s application.
Touring equipment extends further with heated grips and a three-stage heated seat, making the Xplorer better suited to longer-distance riding. The motorcycle also gets a compact manually adjustable windscreen, while handguards incorporate the front indicators.

One of the more notable features is Benelli’s radar-based rider assistance package. The TRK 902 Xplorer comes with Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Collision Warning. These systems monitor traffic approaching from behind and alert the rider to vehicles that may be difficult to spot using the mirrors alone.
The adventure equipment continues with LED auxiliary lights, tubular crash bars and an aluminium lower engine guard. Together with the wire-spoke wheels and long-travel suspension, these features give the TRK 902 Xplorer a more serious off-road focus than the standard members of the TRK 902 family.
