MV Agusta will make its first official appearance at Wheels and Waves this year, bringing a blend of modern motorcycles and historic machinery to one of Europe’s most celebrated motorcycle festivals. While the Biarritz-based event is best known for its custom-built specials and handcrafted creations, the Italian manufacturer has chosen a different approach, using the occasion to showcase both its latest production models and key motorcycles from its heritage.

Rather than unveiling a one-off custom build, MV Agusta’s presence will resemble a rolling showroom and museum, highlighting the brand’s past and present in equal measure. Leading the display will be the company’s 2026 model range, including the recently launched Brutale Serie Oro and the exclusive Superveloce 1000 AGO, both of which represent the latest chapter in MV Agusta’s premium performance motorcycle lineup.
Festival visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the motorcycles firsthand, with MV Agusta offering a programme of demo rides throughout the event. The initiative will allow attendees to sample selected models on the roads surrounding the French coastal town, providing a closer look at the brand’s current offerings beyond the static display.
Alongside the modern machinery, MV Agusta is bringing several historic motorcycles that reflect the company’s long and distinguished history. Among the highlights is a rare 1958 MV Agusta CSS 175/204cc, a motorcycle dating to a formative period for the manufacturer as it established itself as one of Italy’s leading motorcycle brands. The machine serves as a reminder of the company’s roots long before it became synonymous with high-performance sport motorcycles.

The brand’s involvement at Wheels and Waves will not be limited to exhibition duties. MV Agusta has also confirmed participation in two of the event’s signature activities. The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro will take on Punk’s Peak, the festival’s famous sprint race held on the winding roads overlooking the Atlantic coastline. Known for attracting an eclectic mix of motorcycles and riders, the event has become one of the most recognisable attractions of the Wheels and Waves programme.
Representing a different side of the company’s competition heritage will be a 1968 MV Agusta 125 Regolarità, which is set to compete in the Vintage Rally. The motorcycle highlights a lesser-known chapter of MV Agusta’s history, recalling the brand’s involvement in off-road competition during an era when endurance and reliability were just as important as outright speed.
