Yamaha unveils special MT-07; but there’s a catch!

  • Gets special colours and available in manual and Y-AMT trims
  • Limited to France only
  • Comes with unique accessories as well

Yamaha has officially launched the MT-07 Grand Prix de France 2025 Special Edition, a bold celebration of French MotoGP history and pride. However, the motorcycle will only be exclusive to France and will not be available elsewhere.

This special edition has a few quirks that might confuse fans. According to Yamaha France, the launch celebrates “Yamaha fans” who “vibrated in unison” as Fabio Quartararo set a historic lap record aboard his iconic M1 at Le Mans. The French GP was one of Quartararo’s strongest weekends in recent seasons, with the star rider topping Combined Practice and securing pole position in qualifying for the main event.

Despite this, Quartararo’s race results didn’t quite live up to expectations. He finished fourth in the Sprint and crashed out on lap three of the main race. Still, the weekend provided French fans plenty of reason to cheer, especially as Johann Zarco, riding a Honda, pulled off an incredible victory. Zarco’s gamble on tyres under rapidly changing track conditions paid off, making him the first Frenchman to win at Le Mans since Pierre Monneret in 1954.

In keeping with its French heritage, the MT-07 Grand Prix edition features a bold Tricolour decal kit inspired by the design that once adorned Quartararo’s M1. Red, white, and blue stripes sweep across the bike’s fairings and bodywork, delivering a patriotic flair. The package also includes a wind deflector (fly screen), its supporting kit, and a tail tidy that gives the rear a cleaner look. These upgrades, along with the decals, have upped the bike’s pricing which is available in manual and Y-AMT versions.
