Husqvarna Trek Returns for 2025: The Alpine Odyssey Awaits

Adventure riders, mark your calendars. From Monday, December 1st to Thursday, December 4th, 2025, the Husqvarna Trek: Alpine Odyssey returns to New Zealand, bringing back the spirit of off-road adventure across the stunning backcountry of Southland and Otago.

This year’s edition of the Husqvarna Trek is designed for riders of the 701 Enduro, Norden 901, and Norden 901 Expedition models. And for the first time ever, FE 501 riders are also invited to take part, expanding the adventure family as Husqvarna aims to grow its community of backcountry explorers.

Starting from Invercargill, this three-day odyssey will carve its way through Te Anau and Cromwell, delivering a blend of challenging terrain, epic scenery, and unforgettable experiences. Riders will traverse parts of Fiordland, Otago, and Queenstown Lakes, with everything from rolling farmland to alpine climbs promising some of the best riding conditions Southland has to offer.

Two Routes, One Incredible Experience

Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to off-road riding, the 2025 Husqvarna Trek caters to all skill levels.

  • The Main Route offers an accessible adventure ride for newcomers or those building their confidence.
  • For riders seeking more technical terrain, the Hard Route delivers the kind of challenge that will test your skills—and reward them in equal measure.

We want to get riders out doing what these bikes were made for – adventuring,” says Shaun Jubber, Marketing Manager at Husqvarna Motorcycles New Zealand. “The Husqvarna Trek is more than a ride – it’s an unforgettable journey through some of the most beautiful and challenging landscapes our country has to offer.”
