KTM has unveiled its 2027 EXC and EXC-F enduro range, although this year’s update is more about refinement than revolution. The Austrian manufacturer has focused primarily on fresh graphics and subtle improvements, while retaining the chassis, suspension and engine packages that have helped establish the EXC family as one of the benchmark line-ups in the off-road world.
The new graphics package reinforces KTM’s familiar “Ready To Race” identity, giving the bikes a sharper appearance while maintaining the aggressive styling that has become synonymous with the brand’s enduro machines. Beneath the updated bodywork, however, the formula remains largely unchanged, with KTM continuing to rely on its advanced chassis architecture and WP XACT suspension package across the range.
For the two-stroke models, KTM remains committed to its Throttle Body Injection (TBI) technology. Introduced as a modern alternative to traditional carburettors, the system is designed to provide more accurate fuelling across varying temperatures, altitudes and riding conditions. The result is improved throttle response, smoother power delivery and more consistent performance, all while preserving the lively character that makes two-stroke enduro bikes so popular among experienced riders.

The four-stroke EXC-F range continues to offer a stepped approach to performance. At the entry point sits the KTM 250 EXC-F, a motorcycle aimed at riders who want manageable power and a lighter-feeling package for technical terrain. Its balance of performance and accessibility has made it a popular choice for both newcomers to enduro riding and experienced riders who prioritise agility over outright horsepower.
Moving up the range, the KTM 350 EXC-F occupies what many riders consider the sweet spot. Combining stronger performance than the 250 without the physical demands of the larger-capacity models, the 350 has built a loyal following among riders looking for versatility across a wide range of terrain. It delivers enough power to tackle faster trails and open sections while remaining easier to manage in tighter, more technical conditions.
At the top end of the line-up sit the KTM 450 EXC-F and 500 EXC-F. These larger-capacity machines are designed for riders who demand strong, effortless performance across open terrain, steep climbs and deep sand. Their broad torque delivery makes them exceptionally capable over long distances, although they require more physical input and experience to extract their full potential in challenging conditions.
A key component across the entire range remains KTM’s WP XACT suspension package. Combined with KTM’s proven chassis platform, it continues to form the foundation of the EXC family’s reputation for performance.
While the 2027 range does not introduce any major technical breakthroughs, KTM has wisely chosen to refine a package that is already highly competitive. With updated styling, proven engine platforms and class-leading suspension components, the latest EXC and EXC-F models continue to target riders who value race-bred performance, reliability and versatility in equal measure.
