CFMoto has expanded its entry-level adventure line-up with the launch of the new Dual 250 in international markets. The lightweight dual-sport motorcycle is expected to reach more international markets in the future, although an India launch appears unlikely at this stage.
Designed with genuine off-road capability in mind, the Dual 250 features classic dual-sport proportions, including a tall stance, raised front mudguard, flat one-piece seat, belly pan and a high-mounted under-seat exhaust. Its rugged styling reflects its trail-focused intentions while retaining the modern design language seen across CFMoto’s latest models.
The Dual 250 is powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 24bhp and 22.5Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and is aimed at offering an accessible balance between everyday usability and light off-road performance.
Underneath, the motorcycle rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheel combination, giving it the proportions expected of a capable dual-purpose machine. Ground clearance stands at an impressive 244mm, while the seat height measures 841mm, providing ample suspension travel and obstacle clearance for trail riding. Despite its off-road credentials, the Dual 250 tips the scales at a relatively manageable 154kg kerb weight.
The compact fuel tank holds 12.9 litres of petrol, offering a useful balance between range and weight for adventure riding. Equipment levels are generous for the segment. The Dual 250 comes fitted with full LED lighting, an LCD instrument display, a USB charging port and dual-channel ABS as standard, bringing modern convenience and safety features to the lightweight dual-sport category.
Although CFMoto has not confirmed plans for additional markets, the Dual 250 broadens the company’s growing adventure motorcycle portfolio and offers an attractive option for riders looking for a lightweight machine capable of tackling both paved roads and off-road trails. Its combination of accessible performance, modern equipment and genuine dual-sport hardware positions it as a strong contender in the quarter-litre adventure segment.
