One of the few technical changes the scooters receive is the stop/start technology. While the Xmax 300 now churns out 27.6bhp, the Xmax 125 offers 12.1bhp. There also is the Tech Max and Tech Max+ versions available in both models that are essentially the base of the 2025 update. This update brings in an up/down electric windscreen with 95mm of adjustment and can be done via the left switchgear. Yamaha has also revamped the styling a bit to add wind protection for the rider’s arms.

Then, the 2025 Xmax 125 and Xmax 300 also get a 4.2-inch colour TFT screen with connectivity along with an LCD unit that shows speed, trip meter. The connectivity feature gets you calls, messages and even emails. It goes further with a Garmin app that unlocks interesting features like directions and live traffic updates. It doesn’t end there. Yamaha have also listed keyless ignition, full LED lighting, USB-C style port and a huge space under the seat to fit two helmets.

While the new scooters do seem quite interesting, there is no word about whether they will make it to New Zealand or Australian shores this year.
