Yamaha MT-03 updated for 2025

  • 2025 Yamaha MT-03 revealed
  • Gets minor changes
  • Could be launched in NZ by early 2025

The design has only been minutely altered at the rear. The tail section looks more compact and sharper than before. While the rest of the styling is the same, the new Ice Storm colour scheme hopes to keep things fresh. Other changes include a new LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity as standard. This allows riders access to turn-by-turn navigation as well as calls and message alerts.

Now, ‘why fix what’s not broken’ is the approach Yamaha has taken when it comes to the engine. The 2025 Yamaha MT-03 comes powered by a 321cc, parallel-twin engine with liquid cooling. It offers 42bhp and 29.6Nm. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels with USD forks and a monoshock at the rear while braking is done by single discs at either end and dual-channel ABS.

That said, the MT-03 is aimed at newer riders and riders upgrading from smaller-capacity motorcycles. Hence, it gets a low seat height of 780mm and a low kerb weight of 167kg for better accessibility.

We can expect Yamaha to bring in the 2025 MT-03 to New Zealand and Australia sometime early next year.
