Upcoming BMW F450 GS spotted testing again!

  • BMW F450 GS spotted sans camouflage
  • Gets styling similar to concept
  • Likely launch by end of 2025

The highly awaited BMW F450 GS has been spotted undergoing testing once again—this time appearing to be in its near-final, production-ready form. Earlier prototypes were heavily camouflaged, but the latest spy images offer the clearest look yet at BMW Motorrad’s upcoming entry-level adventure tourer.

This latest test mule differs significantly from the concept version, featuring complete body panels, a tall touring-style windscreen, a vertically-stacked LED headlight, and an extended rear section—highlighting its long-distance touring orientation. The bike is seen with alloy wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, underscoring its road-focused setup.

That said, BMW is expected to roll out a more off-road-capable version later, which will likely include tubeless cross-spoke wheels designed to tackle rougher terrains.

Beneath the bodywork, the F450 GS is built around a steel trellis frame with a detachable sub-frame. Powering the motorcycle is a brand-new 450cc parallel-twin engine, tuned to deliver 48bhp and approximately 45Nm of torque. This engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox, and BMW promises a lively, high-revving character.

The concept version tipped the scales at 175kg, came with a 14-litre fuel tank, and featured a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display. While the production model may be slightly heavier due to the addition of more street-legal components, the rest of the features are expected to stay largely the same.

With the test mule looking ready for production, we can expect BMW Motorrad to launch the motorcycle by the end of the year at the 2025 EICMA.
