New Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario teased

  • To commemorate Ducati’s 100th anniversary
  • Unveil on March 26
  • Limited to just 500 units worldwide

Ducati has released a teaser video on social media confirming that a new Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario is currently in development.

The Superleggera name, Italian for “super light”, has represented the very top tier of Ducati sportbike ownership since the era of the Desmosedici RR. Previous Superleggera models have traditionally been lighter, more powerful, and fitted with even more race-derived hardware than their Panigale V4 counterparts. These machines have also been extremely exclusive, typically limited to around 500 numbered units worldwide and commanding some of the highest prices in Ducati’s lineup.

The “Centenario” designation references Ducati’s 100th anniversary, which the Italian brand is celebrating this year. Given the significance of the milestone, the upcoming Superleggera V4 Centenario is expected to be an even more special version of the already ultra-exclusive superbike.

The teaser video itself is brief but revealing. It shows a black anodised top clamp as a laser engraving machine etches the words “SUPERLEGGERA V4 CENTENARIO” into the metal. The clip ends with the date March 26, which is expected to be when Ducati unveils the full specifications, technology and features of the new motorcycle.

More details about the Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario are likely to emerge closer to the official reveal.
