Triumph unveils new Tiger Sport 800 Tour for 2026

  • Offered with touring-focused accessories
  • Based on standard Tiger Sport 800
  • Could be launched in NZ and AUS early next year

Triumph is expanding the Tiger Sport 800 range with a new Tour edition, aimed at riders who want a ready-made long-distance package straight from the showroom.

Arriving in international dealerships from February, the Tiger Sport 800 Tour is based on the standard Tiger Sport 800, a model that has already earned strong praise in the middleweight adventure-sport space. Rather than changing the core bike, Triumph has focused on adding touring equipment as standard.

Key additions include heated grips, handguards, a centre stand and a more comfortable two-piece seat. Touring practicality is taken further with a full luggage setup, consisting of colour-matched panniers and a top box mounted on an aluminium rack. Combined storage capacity is rated at 106 litres, enough to carry two helmets with ease.

The Tour model also receives new paint options, with buyers able to choose between a subtle Matt Cobalt finish or a brighter Carnival Red. Mechanically, nothing changes. The 800cc triple produces 113bhp and 62lb-ft of torque, with most of that pulling power available through the midrange. The added touring kit increases wet weight to 232kg, around 18kg more than the standard version. Triumph claims a potential range of up to 246 miles from the 18.6-litre fuel tank, based on a quoted 60.1mpg figure.

Chassis components carry over unchanged, with the same suspension and braking hardware as the base bike. The electronics package is also intact, bringing three riding modes, switchable traction control, cornering ABS, cornering traction control and Triumph Shift Assist. Riders also get full smartphone connectivity through the My Triumph system, alongside a combined LCD/TFT display and full LED lighting.

We can expect Triumph to launch the Sport version in New Zealand and Australia early next year.
