- Comes in new orange shade alongside other options
- No changes to features or engine
- Could be launched in NZ soon
Suzuki has refreshed the GSX-8R for 2026 with a striking new orange paint scheme, bringing a colour option previously seen in select European markets to a wider audience.
The new finish marks a noticeable departure from Suzuki’s more familiar palette, traditionally dominated by shades such as blue, black, white and, occasionally, yellow. In recent years, the Japanese manufacturer appears increasingly willing to experiment with bolder visual identities across its line-up.
That approach was already evident with last year’s GSX-8R Kiiro Limited Edition, which arrived wearing a vivid predominantly yellow livery. The newly introduced orange shade follows a similar philosophy, though this version closely mirrors the colourway already available on the GSX-8R in Germany and bears similarities to a special anniversary edition offered exclusively in France.

In the German market, the orange-finished GSX-8R is paired with a range of factory accessories as standard, including a passenger seat cowl, aluminium brake and clutch levers, a tank pad and transparent protective film for the fuel tank. However, Suzuki has currently positioned the new colour as a standard offering rather than a dedicated special edition.
Beyond the updated paint option, the GSX-8R remains mechanically unchanged for 2026. Power continues to come from Suzuki’s 776cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 82bhp and 77.9Nm of torque. The platform retains its sporty middleweight character, balancing accessible performance with everyday usability.
Importantly, Suzuki has confirmed that the orange colourway will be priced in line with the existing finishes, meaning buyers will not pay a premium over other available options such as Triton Blue, Pearl White and Matt Black.
