Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride
With 110 cities taking part around the globe, the DGR raises funds for research into men’s health, as well as raising the profile of afflictions that affect men. With Auckland being joined by provincial capitals, as well as the capital city of Wellington, numbers are increasing hugely each year and one of the great offshoots is the proliferation of beautiful restored classics. With Triumph sponsoring the event worldwide, there are plenty of their machines polished up and joining in but there are all sorts getting involved, including the Honda of Sheldon Reynolds (pictured in Auckland).
The event has grown to such an extent that spectators are now lining streets to see the in-costume riders on their magnificent machines, adding a touch of sophistication and class as they show how distinguished motorcyclists really are.
