Two rapidly expanding Chinese motorcycle brands have been confirmed for the New Zealand market, although Kiwi launch timing remains uncertain as their new distributor concentrates on Australia first.
New Zealand’s motorcycle market is set to welcome two more global brands, with QJMOTOR and VOGE officially confirmed for local distribution under a new Australia and New Zealand importer.
Australian company Nexa Auto Imports has been appointed the exclusive distributor for both manufacturers across Australia and New Zealand, with the brands scheduled to launch across the Tasman from October 2026. While the announcement also covers New Zealand, no local launch timing has yet been confirmed as the company focuses on establishing its Australian dealer network first.
The appointment is significant for Kiwi riders, bringing two of China’s fastest-growing premium motorcycle manufacturers a step closer to local showrooms.
Between them, QJMOTOR and VOGE are expected to offer an initial range of 16 motorcycles, covering roadster, sports, adventure and cruiser segments, with a mix of learner-approved and full-power models.
Among the headline models earmarked for Australia are the QJMOTOR SRK 800 RR supersport, SRV 600 V2 cruiser and SRT 450 RX adventure bike, while VOGE’s launch range will include the DS800X Rally, DS900X, RR660S and CU625 cruiser.
The arrival of both brands continues the rapid expansion of Chinese manufacturers into the Australasian market. In recent years, brands including CFMOTO, Kove and Moto Morini have established strong local followings by offering high levels of equipment and competitive pricing, and QJMOTOR and VOGE are expected to target a similar space.
QJMOTOR enters the market with growing international racing credentials, fielding factory teams in both the FIM Supersport World Championship and Moto2 World Championship. Meanwhile, VOGE is the premium motorcycle division of Loncin Motor, the long-time manufacturing partner for BMW Motorrad. QJMOTOR is backed by automotive giant Geely Holding Group, whose portfolio includes Volvo, Lotus and Polestar.

Nexa Auto Imports Managing Director Clint Davis said both brands represented a major opportunity for the region.

Dealer applications are already open in Australia ahead of the October launch, with the company investing heavily in parts distribution, warranty support, technical training and dealer development. Pricing, specifications and dealer locations are expected to be announced closer to launch.
While Kiwi riders may have to wait a little longer, today’s announcement confirms that both QJMOTOR and VOGE are officially on their way to New Zealand. Exactly when the first bikes land here will likely depend on how quickly Nexa completes its Australian rollout and establishes a local dealer network.
