New Honda V3 E-Compressor to debut at EICMA: What We Know So Far

Honda is just days away from officially unveiling their long-awaited V3 E-Compressor, which is set for a full reveal at EICMA on Tuesday, November 4. The new model has been one of the most closely watched concepts in Honda’s recent lineup, and its transition from showpiece to production form marks a bold new step for the brand.

While full technical details remain under wraps, early indications suggest that the bike will retain the single-sided swingarm derived from the CB1000R, alongside a trellis-style frame, an unusual choice for a company better known for its twin-spar and twin-beam chassis designs. The combination hints at an intriguing mix of traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering.

What remains unclear is the bike’s final body style. Honda has yet to confirm whether the V3 will emerge as a naked roadster or adopt a lightly faired silhouette, much like Yamaha’s retro-inspired XSR900 GP. With several chassis elements reportedly shared with the CB1000R, most insiders expect the V3 to lean toward the naked format.

The name itself is another point of speculation. Although most reports have referred to it as the V3 Compressor or V3 E-Compressor, recent trademark filings suggest two possible directions: V3R and E-Compressor. The latter will likely describe the engine technology, while V3R serves as the official model name.

Whatever the case, anticipation is high. The new V3 promises to blend Honda’s trademark refinement with a daring new engineering concept, and we won’t have to wait long to see it in full. Expect all details to be confirmed during the EICMA on November 4, with BRM bringing you all the latest updates!
