- Limited to just 100 units worldwide
- Gets carbon-ceramic brakes
- Marks 100 years of Ducati
Ducati has unveiled a new limited-edition superbike to mark its 100-year celebrations, the Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore, revealed at its factory in Borgo Panigale.
Limited to just 100 units, the anniversary model is based on Ducati’s ultra-lightweight Superleggera platform but introduces several upgrades to underline its significance. Power is rated at 228hp, while the bike makes extensive use of carbon fibre across its chassis and components, staying true to the Superleggera philosophy of extreme weight reduction.
A standout addition is the introduction of a carbon-ceramic braking system, something not previously seen on a road-legal Ducati, alongside suspension elements derived directly from the brand’s MotoGP World Championship programme.
Visually, the bike leans heavily on the brand’s heritage. Its livery draws inspiration from the Ducati 750 F1 that competed at Daytona in the mid-1980s, tying the Centenario model back to a defining era in the company’s racing history rather than presenting it as a standalone modern special.
Beyond the bike itself, the Italian brand used the launch to outline its broader centenary plans for 2026. Central to this is the introduction of the “Manuale del Made in Italy secondo Ducati”, a document that defines the company’s philosophy around design, engineering, and production. Backed by several Italian institutions, the manual represents Ducati’s interpretation of what “Made in Italy” means today, focusing on the balance between styling, technical innovation, and industrial craftsmanship, core pillars of the brand’s identity.
While the wider centenary programme spans heritage and brand storytelling, the Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore sets the tone: a highly exclusive, high-performance machine that blends familiar engineering with symbolic design, positioning Ducati’s past and future in one statement piece.
