CFMoto has revealed full details of the technology package for its new 800MT-ES adventure tourer, bringing semi-active suspension and a comprehensive electronics suite to the middleweight adventure segment at a competitive price point.
First unveiled at EICMA 2025, the 800MT-ES now sits at the top of CFMoto’s 800MT range. The biggest upgrade over the existing models is the addition of the brand’s new Intelligent Suspension System (ISS), which continuously adjusts damping in real time based on road conditions and rider inputs.
The electronically controlled suspension also allows riders to tailor the setup manually, offering four preload settings for different load conditions, from solo riding to fully loaded two-up touring, alongside three damping modes: Comfort, Standard and Sport.
The electronics package extends well beyond the suspension. A six-axis IMU works with Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control to enable cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and engine brake control, providing a comprehensive suite of rider aids. Power comes from CFMoto’s KTM-derived 799cc parallel-twin engine, producing a claimed 91bhp and 75Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and comes equipped with a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.
Riders can choose between four riding modes, Sport, Rain, Off-road and All-terrain, which adjust throttle response and electronic intervention to suit different riding conditions.
Touring equipment is equally extensive. Standard features include an 8-inch TFT display, cruise control, tyre-pressure monitoring, heated grips, a heated seat, a steering damper and a radar detection system designed to provide additional rider-assistance functionality. The chassis combines the semi-active suspension with Michelin tyres, J.Juan brakes and Bosch cornering ABS, reinforcing the bike’s premium specification.
With its combination of advanced suspension technology, comprehensive electronics and generous standard equipment, the 800MT-ES raises the bar for value in the middleweight adventure touring class and is set to challenge more established Japanese and European rivals.
