MV Agusta Brutale 800 returns for 2026

  • Uses a 113bhp 798cc inline-three motor
  • Loaded with extensive electronics
  • No word about global launch timeline

The 2026 MV Agusta Brutale 800 marks the return of one of the Italian firm’s most celebrated naked sport models, described by the company as “the purest expression of MV Agusta’s sports DNA.”

At its heart lies the 798cc triple-cylinder engine producing a claimed 113 hp at 11,000 rpm and 62.6 lb-ft of torque at 7,500 rpm. The high-revving unit delivers the sharp, visceral character the Brutale name is known for, while remaining compliant with the latest Euro5+ emission standards.

Underneath, the Brutale 800 uses a high-strength steel trellis frame paired with a single-sided swingarm, ensuring both rigidity and agility. Suspension is handled by 43 mm Marzocchi USD forks offering full adjustment for preload, compression, and rebound, while a Sachs monoshock provides matching adjustability at the rear. Stopping duties are performed by Brembo M4.32 callipers clamping 320 mm floating front discs and a 220 mm rear setup, all wrapped in Bridgestone S22 rubber for confident grip on the road.

The electronics package is equally impressive. MV Agusta’s Electronic Assisted Shift ensures seamless up- and downshifts, delivering both precision and excitement in every gear change. A six-axis IMU brings traction control, cornering ABS, and rear-lift mitigation, while four riding modes, Rain, Sport, Race, and Custom,  allow riders to tailor performance to their preference.

A 5.5-inch TFT display acts as the bike’s digital command centre, providing full connectivity through the MV Ride App. Riders can access telemetry, navigation, and smartphone notifications directly on the screen.

Other premium touches include cruise control, cornering headlights, a built-in anti-theft system with geolocation, and even an emergency SMS function for added safety. The 2026 Brutale 800 debuts exclusively in Rosso Ago Opaco (Matt Red), a bold colour choice that underlines its Italian flair.
