- To be based on the 1390 Super Duke Evo R
- Limited to just 50 units
- Unlikely launch in New Zealand
KTM could be gearing up to unveil its most powerful Brabus model yet, with this year’s EICMA show expected to host the official launch of the Brabus 1400 R Signature Edition.
For those unfamiliar, Brabus’ collaboration with KTM represents the Austrian manufacturer’s ultra-premium offshoot, blending the raw aggression of KTM’s Super Duke platform with the luxury and exclusivity of the German tuning house. The upcoming 1400 R Signature Edition is reportedly based on the 1390 Super Duke R Evo, and will succeed the limited-run 1300 R Masterpiece Edition as the flagship model.
Power figures are tipped at around 189bhp, courtesy of a 1,350cc LC8 V-twin engine, marking it as the most potent Brabus bike to date. The new model is also expected to share its WP semi-active suspension setup with the Super Duke R Evo, offering riders electronically adjustable damping and superior adaptability.

Structurally, the hyper-naked is likely to feature a tubular chrome-molybdenum steel frame paired with an aluminium single-sided swingarm, combining stiffness and lightness for track and road use alike. The Brabus 1400 was first teased earlier this year, but KTM’s financial setbacks temporarily stalled its momentum. With production now stabilised, anticipation around the new model is once again building ahead of its Milan debut.
With the previous 1300 R Masterpiece Edition, a model limited to just 50 units worldwide, the new 1400 R Signature Edition is likely to follow a similarly exclusive production run, continuing Brabus’ reputation for delivering ultra-limited, high-performance machines to a select few. That said, it is unlikely to make its debut in New Zealand.
