- Based on the Kawasaki KX450X
- Comes with off-road ready electronics and fitments
- Will compete in the Motorally and Raid TT events
Bimota has entered the enduro segment with the new Bimota BX450, once again building on a Kawasaki platform.
Unveiled on the same day as the Bimota KB399, the BX450 is based on the Kawasaki KX450X. As expected, Bimota retains the Kawasaki-derived engine and frame, but applies its own design language and components to differentiate the bike. Visually, that includes a more retro-inspired aesthetic finished in Bimota’s signature red, white and black colour scheme.

Beyond styling, there are several technical upgrades. The BX450 uses an ECU from Athena (GET system), with fuel injection mapping tailored specifically for the Bimota. Riders get access to two engine maps, along with 10 levels of traction control and a selectable launch control mode via a handlebar-mounted switch.
The package is rounded out with Metzeler MCE 6 Days Extreme Supersoft tyres, a titanium silencer from Akrapovic, and an additional auxiliary fuel tank. Bimota also plans to offer a range of accessories that will allow the BX450 to compete in Italy’s national off-road series, including Motorally and Raid TT events.

The BX450 is expected to be available in international markets from early May, although there is currently no confirmation of a launch in Australia or New Zealand.
