Aprilia Motorcycles New Zealand has confirmed that the new Tuono 457 and RS 457 GP Replica will arrive at dealerships across the country this month, expanding the brand’s 457cc motorcycle line-up.
The Tuono 457 will be priced from $9,990 + ORC, bringing a naked-bike format to Aprilia’s parallel-twin platform. It produces 35kW and features an aluminium frame along with a full Ride-by-Wire electronic package aimed at improving its agility and usability on the road.
Joining it is the RS 457 GP Replica, priced at $10,990 + ORC. The special edition adds a standard quickshifter, upgraded braking hardware and Aprilia Racing-inspired MotoGP graphics, giving the sportbike a more track-focused appearance and specification.
At the same time, the standard RS 457 is receiving a permanent $400 price reduction, bringing its price down to $10,590 + ORC.
Beyond the new models and pricing, Aprilia has also made changes aimed at improving rider comfort. The suspension package has been revised, with compression damping recalibrated to provide a better balance between comfort and control. The seat has also been redesigned with high-resilience foam to provide greater support during longer rides.
Despite these changes, there are no mechanical updates to the Tuono 457 or RS 457 Special Edition. Both continue to use the 457cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 47.6bhp and 43.5Nm, with power sent through a six-speed gearbox. The engine continues to offer strong low-end performance and approachable power delivery, making the 457 platform suitable for both newer and experienced riders.
