Yamaha has offered a first look at a smaller addition to its adventure motorcycle range, unveiling the Ténéré 4 Concept in Milan ahead of the opening of EICMA. The new concept points towards a more accessible entry into the Ténéré family, which is currently centred around the Ténéré 700 and its various versions.
The motorcycle was revealed during an official ceremony by Yamaha Motor Europe President Olivier Prevost, joined on stage by off-road riders Pol Tarres and Kevin Galles. The event also featured the introduction of the new RW700, RW700 Explore and RW350. However, Yamaha has yet to confirm when the Ténéré 4 will progress from concept to a production model.

Despite being a concept, the Ténéré 4 is unmistakably part of Yamaha’s rally-inspired adventure family. Its narrow profile and low, flat fuel-tank design give it the familiar silhouette associated with the Ténéré name, while its overall appearance reflects the brand’s experience developing the Ténéré 700. Yamaha says the concept combines functional technology, robust engineering and a design shaped by its long history in adventure riding.
The hardware further reinforces its off-road intentions. The prototype is equipped with KYB suspension at both ends and runs 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, wrapped in Michelin Anakee Wild tyres. A titanium Akrapovič exhaust completes the package.

Yamaha has placed particular emphasis on rider-focused ergonomics, with the concept intended to deliver the agility and accessibility expected from a new-generation adventure motorcycle without losing the character associated with the Ténéré name.
