BMW Motorrad has begun launching the F 450 GS in international markets, positioning it as the new entry point into its GS lineup. It is available in three variants: Base, Exclusive and the range-topping GS Trophy. The model effectively replaces the BMW G 310 GS and is manufactured by TVS Motor Company in India.
At its core is a new 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 48bhp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike is built around a steel trellis frame, supported by a USD front fork and a rear monoshock. It runs on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, with alloy wheels on most variants, while the GS Trophy gets tubeless wire-spoke wheels.
In terms of features, the F 450 GS comes equipped with all-LED lighting and multiple ride modes. The base variant offers Rain, Road, and Enduro modes, while higher trims add an Enduro Pro mode. A bi-directional quickshifter is optional on the base model and standard on the higher variants. The GS Trophy trim also benefits from adjustable suspension and BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch system.
Rider aids include cornering traction control, ABS, and Dynamic Brake Control, reinforcing its adventure-focused credentials. All settings and ride data are managed via a 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.
