- Moved from April to November
- Other GP races pushed ahead too
MotoGP has officially rescheduled the Qatar Grand Prix to 8 November 2026, moving it from its original April slot due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The decision was made in consultation with the FIM, the championship promoter, and local authorities in Qatar. According to MotoGP, the priority was to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved, while also avoiding potential disruptions to travel and logistics that could affect teams and organisers.
As a result of the change, the championship calendar has been adjusted. The Portuguese Grand Prix at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve will now take place on 22 November, while the season finale at the Valencia Grand Prix moves to 29 November. Other rounds in the 2026 calendar remain unchanged for now.
MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta stated that the revised schedule was finalised through close coordination with partners in Qatar and across the paddock. He also emphasised the importance of providing clarity to fans early, confirming that ticket holders will have the option to roll over their tickets to the rescheduled event.
