Suzuki has chosen the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 as the stage for the debut of its DR-Z4S Monster Hunter Wilds Edition concept, a one-off motorcycle created in collaboration with gaming giant Capcom.
The DR-Z4S Monster Hunter Wilds Edition is one of five concept vehicles Suzuki will display at the show, although it appears to be the only motorcycle among them. In total, Suzuki will showcase nine vehicles, with the event running from January 9 to 11 at the Makuhari Messe convention centre in Chiba City.
While the majority of Suzuki’s display will focus on heavy-duty four-wheelers, the adventure-styled DR-Z4S concept stands out, particularly for markets like New Zealand, where the standard DR-Z4S is already on sale.

That said, the appearance of the Monster Hunter Wilds Edition does not mean it is heading for production or export. As a concept model, it would first need to be developed into a road-ready motorcycle before any market plans could be considered. The concept was developed in partnership with Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise, which enjoys a strong global following and near-cult status in Japan. This is not the first collaboration between the two brands. In May 2025, Suzuki unveiled a one-off GSX-8R finished in special graphics to mark its partnership with Capcom and the release of Street Fighter 6.
According to Suzuki, the DR-Z4S Monster Hunter Wilds Edition is inspired by “Seikret,” a transport companion featured in the Monster Hunter game. The company says the concept is designed to express a sense of adventure and exploration.
In New Zealand, the standard Suzuki DR-Z4S is priced at $14,899 and is powered by a single-cylinder engine producing 37bhp and 36.8Nm of torque. For now, the Monster Hunter Wilds Edition remains a visual showcase rather than a confirmed future model, but it offers a clear glimpse into how Suzuki is blending gaming culture with its adventure motorcycle platform.
