Harley-Davidson unveils 2026 motorcycle range in ‘Chapter 1’ release

  • Get new paint schemes and trims
  • To unveil more motorcycles on 14 January
  • Likely to be launched in NZ in first half of 2026

Harley-Davidson has unveiled the first wave of its 2026 motorcycle range, branding the initial release as “Chapter 1”.

The announcement covers models across the American brand’s Grand American Touring, Cruiser, Sport and Adventure segments, including the Street Glide, Road Glide, Low Rider, Sportster family and Pan America 1250 ST. According to Harley-Davidson, the bikes included in this first release will begin arriving at dealerships shortly.

There are no mechanical changes across this initial group for 2026. Instead, updates are limited to new colour options, cosmetic tweaks and revised pricing, with most models carrying over unchanged from last year.

Alongside the carryover models, Harley-Davidson has introduced a new Solo Trim Package for three bikes. The package includes a solo seat, Dark Billiard Gray paint, and cast aluminium wheels, and is available on the Heritage Classic, Street Bob, and Street Glide.

Harley-Davidson has confirmed that further 2026 models will be revealed as part of Chapter 2 on January 14, 2026, including a redesigned Trike platform and the latest Custom Vehicle Operation (CVO) lineup.

Following significant updates to the Street Glide and Road Glide for 2025, which included revised styling, suspension and electronics, both models return largely unchanged for 2026. They continue to use the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, producing a claimed 105hp and 176Nm of torque, along with updated suspension, a full suite of rider aids, and Harley’s Skyline OS infotainment system. The system features a 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen, a 200-watt amplifier, and fairing-mounted speakers.

For now, the touring range appears limited, with no confirmation yet on full-dress or Limited models, though these could arrive as part of the later announcement.

Harley-Davidson’s cruiser lineup also carries over into 2026 with the same six models as last year: the Low Rider S, Low Rider ST, Heritage Classic, Breakout, Fat Boy and Street Bob. Each continues to use the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, offered in three distinct states of tune depending on the model, with variations in intake, exhaust, cam profiles and ride mode calibration. The Sport range remains largely unchanged as well. The three-model family returns for 2026 with no major updates beyond new engine covers for the Revolution Max powerplant. The Nightster gains a new option package, featuring Blood Orange paint, flat-track-inspired graphics, chrome exhaust shields, and 14-spoke cast aluminium wheels. Sport models are expected to reach global dealerships in early 2026
