Royal Enfield unveils special Bullet 650 125 Year Edition

  • Comes with unique paint scheme
  • Based on standard Bullet 650
  • No word about global availability yet

Royal Enfield has marked its 125th anniversary with the launch of a Bullet 650 125 Year Special Edition, celebrating more than a century of continuous motorcycle production.

Rather than introducing an all-new model, the commemorative edition is based on the brand’s expanding 650cc platform, sharing its engine, frame and core chassis components with models such as the Classic 650, which also debuted recently at EICMA.

Power comes from Royal Enfield’s familiar 648cc air-cooled, SOHC parallel-twin, producing 46.3bhp at 7,250rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5,650rpm. The figures remain unchanged from the rest of the 650 range, with the focus firmly on accessible performance and traditional riding character rather than outright output.

What sets the 125 Year Special Edition apart is its presentation. The Bullet’s signature teardrop fuel tank and nacelle-style headlight remain intact, retaining the silhouette that has defined the model for decades. However, they are now finished in a distinctive colour-shifting ‘hypershift’ paint scheme, which transitions between deep red and gold depending on the light.

A gold ‘125 Years’ crest is applied to the tank, serving as the key visual marker of the anniversary model and reinforcing Royal Enfield’s long-standing “Pure Motorcycling” ethos.

Details on production numbers and regional availability have yet to be confirmed, and whether the Bullet 650 125 Year Special Edition will be offered in New Zealand remains unclear.
