- Royal Enfield appoints McIver & Veitch, NZ’s oldest motorcycle dealership, as its authorised Dunedin retailer.
- The partnership unites two long-standing motorcycling institutions with shared values of authenticity, craftsmanship and rider-focused service.
- Dunedin riders will now have full access to Royal Enfield motorcycles, parts, apparel and support through a dealership with 93 years of heritage.
McIver & Veitch, New Zealand’s oldest motorcycle dealership, has officially been appointed as the new Royal Enfield Dunedin dealership. The partnership brings together two of the most historic names in global and local motorcycling — Royal Enfield, the world’s oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, and McIver & Veitch, which has served Kiwi riders for more than 93 years.

The announcement strengthens the Royal Enfield NZ dealer network and gives Dunedin riders a dedicated destination for Royal Enfield motorcycles, service and apparel.
“Adding Royal Enfield to our portfolio is more than a business decision — it’s a celebration of shared values,” said Jason Veitch, Dealer Principal at McIver & Veitch. “Like us, Royal Enfield understands what motorcyclists want: authentic, reliable motorcycles built with integrity. Our decades of experience serving New Zealand riders makes us the ideal partner for Royal Enfield in Dunedin.”

NZ’s Oldest Motorcycle Dealership Meets the World’s Oldest Motorcycle Brand
McIver & Veitch began during the Great Depression, created by two friends with a passion for motorcycles. Nearly a century later, the third-generation, family-owned business remains a pillar of the South Island riding community. Known as New Zealand’s oldest motorcycle dealership, their reputation has been built on long-standing customer relationships, trusted advice and representing premium motorcycle brands.
Grounded in history but focused on the future, their alignment with Royal Enfield New Zealand feels almost inevitable.

Royal Enfield Expands Its Presence in Dunedin
Founded in 1901, Royal Enfield has carved out a global reputation for motorcycles that blend timeless design with modern engineering. Their focus on heritage, simplicity and rider connection resonates strongly with McIver & Veitch’s own philosophy.
“Two institutions with this much history coming together feels significant,” Veitch added. “We’re not just selling motorcycles; we’re continuing a legacy. Both McIver & Veitch and Royal Enfield have earned our reputations one satisfied rider at a time — and that’s exactly how we’ll approach our new (Royal Enfield Dunedin) customers.”
With this appointment, Dunedin riders now have direct access to the full Royal Enfield NZ lineup, including models like the Hunter 350, Classic 350, Interceptor 650, Super Meteor 650, Himalayan and more, along with genuine parts, accessories and servicing.
