Ducati Desmo450 Enduro confirmed for 2026

  • Powered by 449cc single-cylinder engine
  • Features similar to 450MX
  • To reach global showrooms by July 2026

Ducati has officially confirmed the new Desmo450 Enduro, a road-legal enduro bike that will arrive in global showrooms from July 2026.

The bike was originally expected in 2027, but Ducati has pushed it forward as part of its wider goal to succeed in multiple motorsport categories. The model is built from Ducati’s latest motocross platform but adapted for enduro use. That means it gets practical features like an 18-inch rear wheel, a side stand, flag-style handguards, and a larger 8.5-litre fuel tank, which is slightly bigger than the motocross version.

Power comes from Ducati’s 449.6cc desmodromic single-cylinder engine. Ducati hasn’t shared final performance figures yet, but it’s likely that the Enduro version will make a little less top-end power than the motocross bike. This is expected because Ducati has tuned it for smoother low-rpm performance and added more flywheel weight for better control on tricky terrain.

Electronics haven’t been fully detailed either, but the dash layout suggests that it will get features similar to the 450 MX, including traction control and selectable riding modes. The engine should be paired with a wide-ratio six-speed gearbox, and it’s very likely that Ducati will fit a quickshifter, just like the MX model.

Suspension comes from Showa, with 49mm fully adjustable forks and a matching Showa rear shock. Both components include high-end touches like Kashima coating, and wheel travel is expected to be close to 300mm, giving the bike plenty of capability for rough trails and enduro racing.

The pre-production unit shown at EICMA didn’t have a radiator fan installed, but because many rival bikes such as KTM’s 450 EXC-F Six Days, offer a fan as standard, Ducati may add it for the final production model, especially considering this is likely to be a premium offering in its class.

More details on pricing, full specifications, and availability will be announced over the next few months.
