Triumph Unveils Sharper Street Triple 765 RX & Moto2 Limited Edition

  • Triumph adds two high-spec, race-inspired models to its Street Triple range: the 765 RX and limited Moto2™ Edition.
  • Both bikes feature Öhlins NIX30 suspension, clip-ons, Brembo Stylema brakes, and upgraded track ergonomics.
  • The Moto2™ Edition is limited to 1,000 units worldwide, loaded with carbon fibre and individually numbered for collectors.

We’ve always had a soft spot for Triumph’s middleweight naked, with the smaller package and less power than the monster Speed Triple making it more manageable and, arguably, more fun to ride. But now, Triumph has upped the middleweight’s game by taking its acclaimed middleweight platform and pushed it to a new peak, unveiling the 2026 Street Triple 765 RX and the ultra-exclusive Street Triple Moto2™ Edition.

Both models evolve directly from the award-winning RS, but now arrive with sharper ergonomics, premium chassis hardware and styling that leans heavily into Triumph’s racing pedigree.

The RX is a one-year-only special model designed to be the most track-focused Street Triple yet. Sitting alongside it, the Moto2™ Edition is limited to just 1,000 units worldwide, created for riders and collectors who want the closest possible connection to Triumph’s role as the exclusive engine supplier for the Moto2™ World Championship. Triumph says the pair “set an even higher benchmark for performance, capability and exclusivity,” and on first glance, they appear to deliver exactly that.

Both motorcycles receive a major front-end upgrade with fully adjustable Öhlins NIX30 forks, giving the Street Triple chassis a level of feedback and precision normally reserved for fully fledged supersport machinery. Clip-on handlebars replace the upright setup of the RS, shifting the rider into a more aggressive, race-oriented position. Combined with Triumph’s high-revving 765cc triple — unchanged in output at 130PS and 80Nm — the RX and Moto2™ Edition feel purpose-built for fast road riding and dedicated track work.

Visually, the RX leans into Triumph’s sporting heritage with a Matt Aluminium Silver finish contrasted by a Diablo Red subframe and wheels. A precision-machined top yoke, an RX-branded performance seat and a laser-etched RX silencer treatment reinforce its special-edition status. Triumph calls it a tribute to the first Street Triple RX from 2015, and the link is clear in both stance and intention.

The Moto2™ Edition takes exclusivity even further. Carbon fibre is used extensively, from the side panels and belly pan to the front mudguard and silencer end cap. A Moto2™-embossed seat, clear-lens tail light and individually numbered billet-machined top yoke elevate it into genuine collector territory, while a bespoke Moto2™ start-up screen on the TFT display makes the connection to Grand Prix racing impossible to miss. The Mineral Grey and Crystal White paintwork, accented with Triumph Performance Yellow, gives the Moto2™ Edition a distinctive paddock presence.

Chief Product Officer Steve Sargent says the RX builds directly on the success of its larger sibling. “The success of the Speed Triple 1200 RX has demonstrated the appeal of a sports-focused naked motorcycle, combining precision handling with premium components in a way that resonates with riders who value performance and control. That’s why we are now applying the same ethos to the Street Triple family.” On the Moto2™ Edition, Sargent says: “This bike gives fans and collectors a rare opportunity to own a slice of Moto2 action.”

Triumph’s achievements in Moto2™ since 2019 are a major part of the story. Their 765cc engine has powered the class to a top speed of 300km/h, amassed more than seventy race lap records, and clocked nearly two million kilometres under peak competition stress. Triumph says this wealth of data has directly informed the refinement of the Street Triple engine, making these 2026 models the most race-developed yet.

The chassis continues that philosophy. Fully adjustable Öhlins front and rear suspension, Brembo Stylema brakes with the MCS span-ratio lever, and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres combine with a wet weight of just 188kg to deliver a package built for accuracy, confidence and feedback. Advanced electronics, including an optimised cornering ABS and traction control system, ABS Track mode, and Triumph Shift Assist, round out a tech suite that keeps the focus on speed, stability and rider control.

Triumph will also offer 35 factory accessories, allowing both the RX and Moto2™ Edition to be tailored to individual taste. New Zealand riders can find the Street Triple 765 RX in dealerships now with a starting price of $23,995, while the Moto2™ Edition will follow from March 2026, with final pricing to be confirmed.

Triumph’s middleweight platform has long been regarded as one of the best-balanced performance bikes on the market. With the arrival of the RX and the Moto2™ Edition, the Street Triple steps into a new realm — one shaped directly by race engineering, exclusivity and a sharper-than-ever focus on the rider.
