The 2025–26 Suzuki Auckland Motorcycle Club (AMCC) Series is set to roar into life at Hampton Downs on 14 September, with three rounds of action scheduled on the National Circuit.
This year marks the 55th AMCC Club Series event at the North Waikato venue, which has become the traditional home of the Club’s racing calendar. Each round will feature a full day of practice, qualifying, and three races across multiple classes, with live streaming available for those watching from home.
Prizes and Giveaways
Once again, Suzuki NZ is backing the series, and one lucky competitor will walk away with a brand-new Suzuki GSX150F (RRP $3,999) at the final round on 16 November. Last season, more than 70 riders were eligible for the draw, which was won by Hastings racer Brendon Vesty—ironically while he was being transported to hospital after a crash earlier in the day.
In addition to the Suzuki prize bike, Level LTD has partnered with AMCC to offer a second major giveaway: an RST Airbag Race Suit (RRP $1,999). Combined with a further $5,000 worth of products and services from supporting sponsors, competitors will have plenty of incentive to line up on the grid this season.
Carl Cox Motorsport Cup Returns
A highlight of the AMCC programme will once again be the Carl Cox Motorsport Cup, now entering its 15th year. First run in 2011, the Cup has developed into a proven pathway for emerging New Zealand racers, starting with Hyosung 250s before expanding to Kawasaki Ninja 400s in 2018.
What began with just five Ninjas has now grown to grids of around 20 bikes in each class, running alongside the Hyosungs. The Cup’s trademark Le Mans-style starts and annual one-hour endurance race remain a crowd favourite, adding spectacle and unpredictability to the season.
Packed Race Programme
Alongside the Carl Cox Motorsport Cup, fans can expect the usual mix of Senior, Intermediate, Junior, and Sidecar categories, ensuring plenty of variety across the three-round series.
Spectators are welcome at Hampton Downs, with entry set at $20 for adults and free for under-16s. Eftpos will be available at the gate, and the circuit’s catering outlets will be operating as normal.
