Finding a great pair of jeans is vitally important when you’re a female, right up there with finding a comfy pair of shoes – especially motorcycle jeans! They must fit just right, or they can – and will – make life difficult. Unfortunately, finding your perfect fit can be rather tricky when it comes to female motorcycle riding options, so when you find something good, you tend to want to get yourself a couple of pairs!

I hear a lot from female readers/followers of BRM who complain that sizing varies wildly when it comes to ladies’ riding gear on the market today, and that sizing isn’t very true. That makes online ordering a nightmare, or you can go through the dreaded scenario of facing the shame of buying two sizes higher in-store. Not great for one’s ego.

I was in need of a new pair of jeans for 2025, which coincided with a call from our friends at Darbi Accessories, who asked if I’d like to try out these Rev’it Ladies Violet Jeans. They reckoned the fit was designed to actually fit a woman’s body properly, with none of this low-waist nonsense that must be designed by a man and has no place in motorcycle jeans, I reckon. To be honest, I was quite excited to give them a go! And I’m super happy to advise that I really like this style. It ticks a whole lot of boxes of coverage, fit and style.

So what’s the sizing like, I hear you ask. Well, they’re high wasted for better coverage, and I reckon they’re pretty much true to size. There’s a little bit extra in the hip and thigh area, with a bit of stretch included in the denim. They also come with knee and hip pads for that extra protection. The legs have a very slight taper at the bottom, with the option of rolling up for the Boyfriend Style. There is also a reflection strip for a bit of extra vision when rolled up.

These jeans not only tick the box for good protection, but they finally offer a nice fitting style for ladies. They’re also the kind of style that you could happily hop off your bike and wear to the local café or shops.
