- Now comes with E-Clutch as standard
- Uses a 755cc, parallel-twin engine
- Could be introduced in NZ and AUS soon
The Honda XL750 Transalp has been updated for 2026 with the brand’s new E-Clutch system now coming as standard. Riders can still use the traditional left-hand lever if they wish, but the system automatically takes care of clutch engagement and release when needed.
With the E-Clutch, riders can pay more attention to throttle control, cornering lines, and body balance instead of working the clutch lever constantly. It’s especially helpful in stop-and-go traffic or when navigating tricky terrain. For riders who prefer a more traditional feel, the lever remains in place for manual use on steep descents or technical sections.
Power still comes from the familiar 755cc parallel-twin engine that meets Euro 5+ standards, delivering 91bhp and 75Nm of torque. The ride-by-wire throttle offers six riding modes, including two that can be customised. There are also five levels of traction control, built-in wheelie control, plus three power and three engine-braking settings.

The 2026 Transalp now comes with fully adjustable Showa suspension, allowing riders to fine-tune preload, compression, and rebound for different loads or road conditions. The steel frame keeps the rugged durability that adventure riders appreciate, while a new skid plate protects the engine and underbody from knocks. Braking is handled by twin 310mm front discs with dual-piston callipers, and the bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, perfect for mixed-surface riding.
Honda has also refreshed the colour options and graphics for 2026, giving the Transalp a sharper, more modern look to go with its smarter technology. We can expect Honda to launch the updated XL750 Transalp in NZ and AUS in the coming months.
