- Spotted in heavy camouflage
- Likely to be available in two variants
- Production version to be shown later this year
BMW Motorrad unveiled the F450 GS Concept at the 2024 EICMA in Italy, taking the industry by storm with its minimal bodywork and off-road focused components. Now, the brand has been spied testing the production-spec version in India- the country it will be manufactured in.
Since this is the first time being spotted out on the road, the test mule was adorned in heavy camouflage. However, underneath, it does reveal new details of the F450 GS. To begin with, we now know that it would be offer in two variants. One with spoke wheels and one with alloy wheels. It rides on 19-inch wheels with a brake setup similar to the concept. Moreover, the 450 would also get the golden fork bottles like the now discontinued G310 GS.

The suspension setup would include a fully-adjustable USD forks and monoshock with load-dependent damping. With that said, the production version could be heavier than the Concept that was listed at 175kg. The BMW F450 GS will come powered by a 450cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 48bhp and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.
We can expect BMW Motorrad to showcase the final version of the F450 GS by the end of the year at the 2025 EICMA. It is likely to make its way to global markets in 2026 and compete against the KTM 390 Adventure, CFMoto 450MT and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
