- Limited to just 5 units
- Offered 215bhp and 17kg weight saving over standard model
If you were hoping to get your hands on a race-bred superbike with genuine WSBK pedigree, the Bimota KB998 Rimini Elite has already slipped through your fingers; it’s officially sold out.
Revealed just last month with a hefty €99,800 price tag (approx. NZD 196,800), the 215bhp machine was limited to just five units worldwide. Unsurprisingly, demand far outstripped supply, with all units snapped up in just 10 days.

Compared to the standard KB998 Rimini, the Elite version pushes out an additional 15bhp, a 7.5% bump, while also shedding 16.7kg. That combination of more power and less weight underlines its track-focused intent.
The bike made its first public appearance at the Dutch WorldSBK round at the TT Circuit Assen, where Provec Racing showcased it to fans and media. WorldSBK riders Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani were also present at the unveiling. Development of the Rimini Elite included an intensive test programme led by Xavi Forés. The bike also saw competitive action, making a wildcard appearance in the Spanish Superbike Championship with former MotoGP rider Tito Rabat.
