Triumph Unveils TXP Electric Off-Road Range for Young Riders

  • Triumph’s first youth-focused electric range, the TXP line offers four off-road models (TXP-12 to TXP-24) developed in partnership with OSET.
  • Smart, safe, and scalable electric performance, featuring adjustable power, modular seating, and age-specific design.
  • You’ll need to order now for pre-Christmas availability!

Triumph Motorcycles NZ has unveiled the brand’s first off-road electric motorcycles — the all-new TXP range powered by OSET — designed to introduce the next generation to the thrill of two wheels.

Developed through Triumph’s partnership with electric trials specialists OSET, the TXP range combines OSET’s proven youth-focused electric technology with Triumph’s engineering and design expertise. The result is four new models — TXP-12, TXP-16, TXP-20, and TXP-24 — purpose-built for every age, stage, and adventure.

Each model features age-specific frames and geometry, lightweight steel construction, scalable electric performance, and advanced safety systems including magnetic lanyards, parental PIN controls, and water-resistant electronics. The TXP range introduces a unique 2-in-1 modular design, allowing riders to easily switch between seated off-road riding (“XPlore mode”) and standing trials-style riding (“Trials mode”).

From the smallest TXP-12, suitable for riders as young as three, to the TXP-24, capable of carrying teenagers or adults up to 90kg, the range covers all stages of development. Each bike is equipped with a brushless motor, adjustable throttle response, and smart control systems such as Field-Oriented Control (FOC) and Active Power Stabilisation (APS) to ensure smooth, consistent power delivery.

“The TXP range represents an exciting new chapter for Triumph,” said Nick Bloor, Triumph CEO. “By combining our off-road race-winning experience with OSET’s electric expertise, we’ve created a range that can empower the next generation of riders.”

Ian Smith, OSET Founder, added: “Being part of Triumph has given us the platform to scale our technology and reach new families worldwide. The TXP range continues our mission to help kids develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong passion for motorcycling.”

Finished in Triumph Performance Yellow and Graphite Black, the TXP bikes will make the perfect addition to the shed if you’ve already got one of Triumph’s new dirt bikes already parked there.

New Zealand availability is currently under review by Triumph Motorcycles NZ, but customers can order the new electric bikes through their local Triumph dealer. You’ll just need to get in quick if you’re after one to put under the Xmas tree for your budding off-road racer.
