Triumph Unleashes Limited Edition Speed Triple 1200 RX

  • Only 1200 models going to be available worldwide.
  • Sharp riding ergonomics for a sportier stance.
  • Gets Öhlins Smart EC3 semi-active units, adjustable via the Öhlins Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi).

Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the Speed Triple 1200 RX, a razor-sharp, limited-edition evolution of its flagship streetfighter, available to just 1,200 riders worldwide. Designed for maximum precision, control, and exclusivity, the RX delivers an aggressive edge in performance, styling, and technology, building on the formidable foundation of the Speed Triple 1200 RS.

At the heart of the RX is Triumph’s latest 1160cc triple engine, producing a blistering 183PS at 10,750rpm and 128Nm of torque at 8,750rpm. This powertrain—developed with insights from Triumph’s Moto2 racing programme—delivers a potent blend of low-end drive and high-revving punch, backed by a refined crankshaft balancing strategy for smoother performance.

A major highlight of the RX is its fully focused riding ergonomics. Compared to the RS, the RX features clip-on handlebars that are 69mm lower and 52mm further forward, along with rearsets positioned 25.5mm back and 14.5mm higher. The result is a sportier, more aggressive stance, ideal for both spirited road riding and track sessions.

Suspension duties are handled by state-of-the-art Öhlins Smart EC3 semi-active units, adjustable via the Öhlins Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi). The RX also introduces a premium Öhlins SD EC electronic steering damper—seamlessly integrated into the suspension management system—for added stability and cornering precision. All adjustments are accessible via the bike’s high-resolution 5” TFT display.

A standout feature exclusive to the RX is the lightweight Akrapovič silencer, combining a titanium outer body with carbon fibre detailing and a laser-etched logo. It not only reduces weight but sharpens the RX’s acoustic and visual appeal. Supporting the bike’s premium feel, Triumph includes an embossed RX performance seat for enhanced rider connection and comfort.

Visually, the RX is striking in its new Triumph Performance Yellow and Granite Grey livery, accented by white RX graphics and a yellow rear wheel highlight. Carbon fibre components, including the front mudguard and tank panels, contribute to both aesthetics and weight reduction, helping the RX tip the scales at just 199kg wet.

In terms of braking, the RX retains top-tier Brembo Stylema® calipers with a Brembo MCS adjustable lever, delivering precise feel and ferocious stopping power. The RX also features Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres as standard—providing race-ready grip on the street.

The electronics suite is equally comprehensive, featuring five riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Rider-configurable), optimised cornering ABS and traction control, wheelie control, engine braking adjustment, and brake slide assist for track use. The My Triumph connectivity system supports navigation, calls, and media, while cruise control and keyless ignition enhance everyday usability.

Commenting on the launch, Triumph’s Chief Commercial Officer Paul Stroud said, “The Speed Triple 1200 RX offers the ultimate riding experience on road or track. Its sharper focus and enhanced technology will appeal to serious riders looking for exclusivity and performance.” With just 1,200 units available globally, the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RX is a premium, precision-crafted machine that promises to be as rare as it is exhilarating.
